Luz de Esperanza: A Beacon of Learning and Hope for All Ages

As the sun rises on a new day, it also heralds the dawn of an exciting chapter for the Light of Nations – the construction of our new school, Luz de Esperanza, or Light of Hope. This moment is not just a milestone; it's a fulfillment of promises and a testament to faith, perseverance, and the power of education.

For nine years, the humble confines of a garage served as a classroom for Luz de Esperanza, our adult school. This space, though limited, became a sanctuary of learning for many who had long given up the dream of education. Here, age is just a number, and the desire to learn knows no bounds. Our students range from enthusiastic 15-year-olds to inspiring individuals in their 80s, all united by a common thirst for knowledge.

These walls have witnessed incredible stories of determination. Adults who missed the opportunity to study in their youth have found a second chance at Luz de Esperanza. The joy of reading, the challenge of mathematics, and the exploration of new ideas have ignited a spark in many, proving that it's never too late to learn and grow.

But the journey of Luz de Esperanza is more than just about adult education. It's also the base for our outreach to 50 sponsored children who currently attend public schools. Our vision has always been to expand our reach and include more young learners. However, space constraints have been a significant hurdle.

Now, thanks to the unwavering support of our community and the grace of God, our vision is becoming a reality. The new school building is rising, promising not just more space, but the opportunity to nurture more dreams and shape more futures. It's a space where learning will flourish, and lives will be transformed.

Mayra, our dedicated director, has been the cornerstone of this project. Her leadership and passion have been instrumental in overseeing this outreach, ensuring that every student, regardless of age, receives the education and support they deserve.
